Tribal Whistle

Description:
19th century Mayombe African tribal whistle made of carved wood and antelope horn. The whistle is made of a small antelope horn and is surmounted by a stool with a cross-hatched lace work center. The whistle is one of a pair, and one whistle remains at the Detroit Institute of Arts.
