Four Section Ivory Flute

Description:
This instrument is a flute made in four sections of ivory. It has four rectangular silver keys. The large end near the embouchure contained an 18th century clock, which was found outside the building after the theft. The flute is carved to resemble bamboo; the even grain running longitudinally through the entire section suggests that it was made from the tusk of the male narwhal.
